By my information Central (1607 T and SP) Voronezh (1699) and Steppe (1632) front had almost 5000 tanks and SP guns at Kursk in 1943. What i would like to know is aproximate breakdown of this 5000..So how many
-T 34
-Kv-1 and Kv-1s
-Su 76, Su 152...russian have at Kursk in the begining of German Kursk offensive. If it is possible also breakdown by front...


Would really appreciate if u can include a source..

Voronezh front: tanks — 1706, heavy tanks — 105 KV-1 and KV-1s (in dokuments not different), 1158 medium tanks — 1126 T-34 (32 american M-3), little tanks — 443 (T-70, T-60),Su — 105.

You can probably look this up on wiki. Anyways, open Glantz's book on Kursk and it's all there. I am too lazy to dig for it.

I have Glantzs book from 1999, but there are whole numbers and not divided by tank and SU type

Actually I did the same just yesterday and it only gives a break-down for the 5th Guards.
