What were the Russian (Higher, and the ordinary soldiers) commander thoughts once they got these beasts back to the testing grounds after they had to go against them in Kursk?
Cheers, thanks!!

Так надо было останавливать врага. Кто бы смог его остановить камрад если бы не наши деды. Мы сами поражаемся нашим соотечественикам и думаем не опозорим их если нам придут такие испытания. С уважением.

Thus it was necessary to stop the enemy. Who would be able to stop him Kamrades if it were not for our grandfathers. We are affected by our thoughts and sootechestvenikam not disgrace them if we come such tests.

Thanks goldenraven, I have the deepest respect for the soldiers and crewmen in Russia who fought against the Germans. As to the «testing» I mean the actual Machine itself and did the Russians take anything away from putting it through its paces.

Good question. Usually new armor specimens were taken to kubinka and a detailed analysis followed. Michael Svirin is known for utulizing such reports, and being level headed when presenting them. He wrote a book ferdinand back in 1990s. it was reprinted in 2001.
