Is anyone here familiar with Boris Gorbachevsky's book «Through the Maelstrom»? It has recently (November 2008) been translated and released in the U.S.

I do not know if it had the same title originally, but Gorbachevsky was a rifleman in the 30th Army and a junior officer in the 31s Army 1942–1945.

I plan on reading this book in January, but wanted to know if anyone had any information, perhaps, on the Russian language version of the book or on Gorbachevsky's post-war reputation.
